7No image URL.NOTES: The ram EDWIN & MAUD was built at Bethel, Delaware in 1900. The ram was a type of commercial sailing craft developed in the Chesapeake Bay area, designed expressly to traverse the narrow Chesapeake and Delaware Canal with large lumber cargoes from the lower Chesapeake Bay area and the Carolinas. About 1947, she was converted into a cruise ship for taking passengers about the Bay. In 1954, she was sold and renamed VICTORY CHIMES of Castine, Maine, and left the Chesapeake in June of that year to resume her career as a cruise ship on the Penobscot Bay.
